There are multiple asset viewing features in Revaly that make your collaboration process seamless.
You can edit the camera type on your asset to either orthographic or perspective. Here is an example of the difference:
|Perspective view||Orthographic view|
To switch between camera types, locate the eye icon on the left-hand side of your screen to easily toggle between camera viewing types. Then select the camera perspective you want to use! You can change this choice at any time.
Assets with color data are automatically uploaded in color, but you can also recolor your asset, making each component of an assembly a unique color (up to 8 colors) by clicking the drop icon on the left-hand of your screen.
You can turn on BREP edges on your asset to get a more accurate image of your model.
To turn on BREP edges, click on the outlined cube icon on the left side of your screen.
Show Curve Measurements
With Show Curve Measurements enabled, measurements now automatically appear when you hover over an edge. Simply click the Show Curve Measurements button to toggle this feature on and off.
You can also fit the model to center it on your screen, at any time. To "fit to model", click on the square "fit" icon on the left side of your screen.
The View Cube is a useful tool to ease the viewing of your asset. The View Cube is used to view your asset on a specific face. The cube will move as you move your asset.
The View Cube is located in the top right corner of your screen. To use the View Cube, click on any one of the 26 pre-calculated positions to be smoothly taken right to that view — or click and hold on the directional arrows to smoothly rotate the part in the direction of your choosing.
