Revaly is focused on collaboration with your team. To help facilitate that, there are several features that enable you to communicate, including text chat.
To use the chat feature in your space, click on the chat icon in the top right corner of your screen.
When sending chats within your space, you can use bold or italics by clicking the icons at the bottom of the chat box.
You can also include emojis, mention other members, and even attach files to your chats.
To add emojis, click the 🙂 icon at the bottom of the chat box, then you can choose from frequently used emojis, scroll through the available emojis, or search for a specific one using the search tool.
To add attachments, click the 📎 icon at the bottom of the chat box. This will open a window for you to select the file you would like to include. Note that all attachments must meet Accepted File Type and Size requirements.
A pop-up window of your files will appear. You can choose the file you would like to embed in the chat from here.
After you select the file you want to embed, click Open. This will embed the file within the chat box.
From there you can add additional context before sending. When you post the 2D file in the chat, a preview of your 2D file will appear in the message.
To open a 2D file from the chat, simply click on the file and it will open in a viewer.
You can also adjust the zoom within the file viewer.
To download the file, click the download icon beside the attachment.
If you want a chat message directed towards a collaborator, tag them by typing the “@” symbol and selecting their name.
You can only tag individuals who have access to the space. To learn more about adding people to a space, read our article on spaces.
When you are tagged in a comment, you will get a Notification in Revaly and in your email inbox, depending on your account settings.

Replying to Messages
If someone makes a comment that you would like to respond to directly, you can reply with an inline reply, or react using the “Add Reaction” button.
To do this, click the three dots in the corner of the message, then select “Reply” or “Add Reaction” in the menu that appears.
Selecting “Add Reaction” will open a selection of emojis you can choose to react with.
Once you choose an emoji, it will appear at the bottom of the message. Hovering over the emoji will show you the user(s) who reacted with that emoji.
When you reply to a message, the original message is linked to your response. Clicking the linked message will bring you to the original message and highlight its location.
Deleting a message
If you send a message that you would like to change or remove, don’t worry! You can do that.
Just click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the message and select “Edit Message” or “Delete Message”
Please note that deleting a message is not reversible.
